BARBARA I LOVE YOU!! i just teared up a little reading that. I forgot about singing "Our song"! Good times. Taking everything down in our room was so hard, i can't even describe it. If we went back to see our room now it would be so different without all of our hard work and decorations. I miss it! It's wierd to think that there was a time when our room wasn't even decorated like that. By the way, a funny airport story to share...I was sobbing after leaving the madrichim and was putting my carry-on through the x-ray. I had accidentally left my pencil case in my carryon with a bunch of supplies, including scissors (by accident.) the lady took them out and said i can't bring them on the plane obviously, and she saw me crying. She thought it was because I left the scissors in there! She was like, aww sweetie its okay a lot of people make this mistake!! haha i was way too hysterical to correct her though.
I MISS YOU and i wish so badly we could go back in time. I love you Barbara

Hey Barbara, looking forward to your upcoming blog posts now that you're back in Israel. BTW, Hanna and I have an incredible time vacationing around Israel together when you were back at home. See you soon, Mitch

Hi Barbara,

This all sounds very heavy, but important and informative. You are having the right response to all of it. I've been thinking a lot about Darfur lately, and how I can lend a helping hand aside from donating a little bit of money. Maybe when you and Hanna return from Israel we can put our brains together and do some volunteering over the summer. Maybe Jamie and Matty would like to join us too.

Jewish World Watch sent out a marketing campaign mailer that talked about different aspects of Pesach and how it relates to the current situation in Darfur. I think that organization has many ways in which people can volunteer their time and offer a helping hand.

Glad you're getting so much out of this trip. That's what it's all about.

Keep writing and I'll keep reading. It's what I do on Sat. mornings with my coffee instead of reading the paper.

Best,
Glendene
